Kapoor Hospital and Eye Centre was established by Dr. Ajay Kapoor, an anterior-segment surgeon skilled in diseases of the front of the eye. Our first centre opened on 17 October 1993 in Shastri Nagar, Jaipur, followed by a second centre in 2007 at Rampura Dabri and a third in 2014 at Vidhyadhar Nagar. Dr. Kapoor was the first eye surgeon in Jaipur to introduce refractive surgery using radial keratotomy for spectacle removal. He adopted phacoemulsification for cataract surgery in 2000, trained further at the R.P. Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi (2003), and attended the World Ophthalmology Congress in Tokyo (2014).
